As Yeshiva World News reports, Stoudemire has been learning for an extended period of time with a study partner from Yeshivas Orchos Yosher in Bnei Brak, Israel, under the auspices of Rabbi Chaim’s Kanievsky’s oldest son, HaRav Avraham Yishayahu. Stoudemire played for the Suns, the New York Knicks, the Dallas Mavericks, and the Miami Heat before retiring from the NBA in 2016. The conversion was celebrated Wednesday at Orchos Yosher, per YWN reports.
Stoudemire has been living in Israel for over a year.
Stoudemire has been very active in JOC circles in Israel, being pictured regularly with personalities such as Nissim and Mordechai ben Avraham. I wish him only the utmost success and hatzlacha.
